Our Leadership
Ratish Gambhira, DVM, PhD, MB (ASCP), TS/CC/HCLD (ABB)
Clinical Molecular Laboratory Director
Ratish Gambhira has served as Laboratory Director at FarmVet Dx since 2021. In his current role, Ratish leads all Diagnostics divisions and commercial teams as well as routine and esoteric testing laboratory operations for FarmVet Dx Diagnostics and global supply chain.
Ratish has more than 15 years of experience as a CLIA laboratory director. During that time, he has held senior leadership positions in laboratory and supply chain operations. He was instrumental in developing and expanding the company’s laboratory capabilities in response to African Swine Fever and Avian Influenza. He previously led the Canadian Division for FarmVet Dx as well as its Integrated Genetics, Integrated Oncology and Stone Clinical Pathology businesses. In addition, he has been an integral architect of process improvement initiatives for FarmVet Dx and of the company’s growth in diagnostics.
Before joining FarmVet Dx, Ratish’s research at the Johns Hopkins University was focused on developing prophylactic protein vaccines against the high-risk human papillomaviruses (HPV16,18) that are causative agents of cervical cancer. He identified a monoclonal antibody (RG-1) that was able to neutralize different types of HPVs in vitro. Further, he characterized the peptide against which this antibody was raised and identified a highly conserved peptide (RG-1) that can be used for developing highly cross-reactive peptide vaccine against cervical cancer.
